Mobility in Italy

                                                    Roma and Cisterna di Latina

As part of the Erasmus+ programme, a group of participants took part in a mobility project focused on sustainable and organic agriculture in Italy. The visit took place in two key locations: the capital city of Rome and the town of Cisterna di Latina. The programme provided valuable insights into the practices and principles of organic farming, with a special emphasis on environmentally friendly food production.

In Rome, participants attended introductory sessions on organic agriculture in Italy, including its regulations, history, and role in EU policies. The mobility then continued in Cisterna di Latina, a region known for its agricultural production. There, the group had the opportunity to visit several organic farms, with a highlight being a local kiwi farm renowned for its certified organic practices.

The kiwi farm showcased innovative techniques in soil health management, water conservation, and pest control without the use of synthetic chemicals. Participants engaged in discussions with local farmers and experts, learning firsthand about the challenges and benefits of organic farming.

The Erasmus+ mobility provided both practical and theoretical knowledge, promoting intercultural exchange and cooperation in the field of sustainable agriculture. It strengthened the participants' awareness of ecological food systems and inspired future collaboration across Europext...
